Farm Fresh and Preparing for the Future

*|MC:SUBJECT|*

Oh My Gourd!

Fall has arrived and none too soon.  Andrea is currently taking part in an Organic Farming Internship at Growing Gardens in Boulder.  Growing Gardens has over 20 years' experience in community outreach, education, nutrition, and gardening; so, it's the perfect place for Andrea to learn everything it takes to start and maintain an organic garden.  This is important for the future of Living With Harmony, where we will have our own on-site organic garden and, ultimately, a cafe.

Enjoy these pictures of Andrea in her natural habitat.  Also featured: yummy soup made with vegetables from the farm.
Living With Harmony now offers a monthly giving option.
Thank you!  We truly appreciate all of our supporters.

Planet Tip of the Day

Most of us probably know to cut up the plastic rings that hold together six-packs of canned drinks, but did you also know that the plastic rings that secure tomato and pepper plants can also do harm?  So here's a quick tip for the planet: please keep an eye out for plastic rings that are securing food, drinks, plants, etc., and cut them apart before discarding them.

JOHN PIERRE HAS BEEN ON THE MOVE

September: The Self-Reliance & Simple Life Experience

John Pierre presented concepts from his books at the Self-Reliance and Simple Life Experience.  What better way is there to prepare for the future than by learning how to be the best version of yourself?

September/August:  Ultimate Weight Loss LIVE

John Pierre and Chef AJ held the Ultimate Weight Loss LIVE three-day event in Las Vegas revealing the secrets of ultimate weight loss.  It was fun and empowering for everyone involved.

August: Plant-Based Health and Wellness Summit

In August, JP spoke at the Plant-Based Health & Wellness Summit in Parker, Colorado.  Pictured here with John McMahon, documentarian of the iThrive: Rising from the Depths of Diabetes and Obesity series.  Please check out the preview of this very interesting series here.

July: VegFest Colorado

One of our favorite events. We saw old friends and made a few new ones.  Likeminded people, veg-curious, omnivores, or rather, future-ex-omnivores, all were here.
John Pierre and Andrea had a great time demo-ing reusable items and educating people using a slideshow on...trash!  Um, it really was much more interesting than it sounds.

BACK TO THE FUTURE

What's in store for the rest of the year and beyond?

What's this beautiful piece of property?

We love it, too.  Unfortunately, it is not ours.  We are still looking for our perfect fur-ever home, and we would very much appreciate any tips that might come our way.  The property must have a water well (or be zoned for a water well), enough land to house lots of earthlings and an organic garden, plus existing buildings for our retreat center, housing, and cafe.  A bonus would be to find land with surrounding natural habitat and wildlife.

We love our home state, but we have made the decision to expand our search beyond Colorado.  If you have any tips on potential properties, please send them our way!

Hey, you made it to the end!

We saved the best for last: Our latest blog post.  This time, guest blogger Madeline Rubin talks about Planet-Based Eating.
Read about it and other interesting facts that many might not have thought about here or click the picture below.  Madeline Rubin explains it beautifully.
Thanks for reading.  Until next time.
