Event Details:
We are able to offer this exclusive fundraiser thanks to the generous donation of someone who believes in our cause. At this event, we will host accomplished guest lecturers who have incredible stories to share, such as Scott Jurek, the Ultramarathoner and a cooking demo JL Fields, as well as our own John Pierre. There will also be a silent auction, live DJ, Flood Theatre Improv, magic with our Emcee, Erica Sodos and MORE! And, of course, your ticket includes a delicious dinner! Our goal is to improve our outreach and fund new programs.

Our second piece of news:
We are excited to welcome Mariam to the LWH team!
|
|
|
Mariam had her eyes on a doctoral degree for most of her life. Crippling health issues at the age of 19 and eye-opening blood test results led her to veganism. Soon thereafter, plant-based nutrition became her greatest passion; but she continued her studies to obtain a graduate degree as was always the plan. Right before Thanksgiving, Mariam realized she didn't want to waste another moment working towards a degree she didn't need to pursue her dreams of helping people, animals and the environment. She walked into her advisor's office, quit the PhD program, and began packing up her life to head to Boulder, Colorado. Having met JP soon after going vegan 7.5 years ago, Mariam gained an immediate admiration for him and his nonprofit's mission. Living with Harmony is what drove Mariam to choose Boulder as her place of relocation. With a Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering and over 7 years of self-gained vegan and fitness knowledge, Mariam is officially joining Living with Harmony as Development Director. She will be using her higher-education skills and personal passions to raise money for the cause in which she so greatly believes. She is following her heart and dreams and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
