Living With Harmony
Winter 2020 Newsletter
Hi everyone! We are well on our way into not only a new year, but a new decade! While it may be cold outside, we hope to warm you up with news of what Living With Harmony has been up to in recent months. Fall and Winter have been filled with lots of animal care, events, presentations, and planning for the future.
And speaking of cold, we continue to serve the community by hosting the Colorado Pet Pantry in Boulder. The mission of the Colorado Pet Pantry is to temporarily feed Colorado pets, allowing families to increase their ability to care for pets with the goal of keeping them out of shelters and with their families.

Looking Out for the Planet
We are passionate about spreading planet-based living information. One thing we can do to look out for the planet is to reduce our waste. Here are some pictures of John and Andrea at Ecocycle, diverting waste from the vet clinics where Andrea works and the Colorado Pet Pantry.

Our Animals are Amazing!
The Living With Harmony animals are beautiful! Many of them have special needs. Andrea does a great job of taking care of them and making sure they get the treatments they need.
Prince getting therapy for painful, unstable knees and back.
Spotty getting ultrasound to loosen her tight muscles.
Is that E.T.? No! It's Fiona. She needs TLC after mass removal surgery. She has to be syringe fed to maintain her weight. Thankfully, the mass wasn't malignant.

Planet-Based Living at Jefferson County Open School
When I said that we have been busy, I meant it! John and Andrea gave a Planet-Based Living presentation at Jefferson County Open School in early December. Among the things discussed was the importance of reducing single use plastics. Remember to always look for rings and cut the rings before recycling or disposing of an item. They end up in the environment. Rubber bands and hair bands too! We also served Miyoko's Cheeses, Chao cheese and So Delicious beverages and non-dairy ice creams.

In addition, we try to get the message out via other mediums like podcasts. JP did a interview with John Kohler from growingyourgreens.com, Watch the interview to get great ideas for how to maximize your efforts in the garden to improve your fitness!

And speaking of gardening, here at Living With Harmony headquarters we are practicing our gardening skills while waiting for spring. We've been experimenting with growing our own food using the Lettuce Grow hydroponic system. We have one indoors in Colorado and another outside in Los Angeles.

We have much, much more planned, so stay tuned and follow us on social media to keep updated.

Living With Sustainable Harmony
Did you know that Living With Harmony is working diligently to raise environmental and sustainability awareness and is continually trying to raise the funds needed to put land aside to help preserve some of our native fauna and wildlife species? In addition to the animals we care for at our sanctuary, we also are working towards creating a wildlife sanctuary where we will help animals by having land that is protected without the threat of development. Please help us!
