Providing Permanent Homes & Care to Animals In Need

because every one deserves to be well-cared-for

Another aspect of LWH’s mission is to offer a permanent home to animals in need. Animals that have been abandoned, neglected, abused…

We already have a small, home-based Animal Sanctuary in Boulder, CO, where dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, tortoises and guinea-pigs, many with special needs and unique rescue stories, live peacefully and are cared for with compassion.

They will be cared for, along with their changing behavioral, health and medical needs, for the rest of their lives.

Sometimes Rescuing Requires Special Attention

This need can arise from situations involving:

Abandonment

An untold number of animals who start their lives in the care of humans are abandoned. For many, this amounts to a death sentence as they have missed a critical phase of their lives where they were the most adoptable and now they are broken and homeless.

Neglect

No animal in the care of humans deserves to have their needs neglected. Many of the animals we’ve rescue have experienced severe neglect that has led to life-long ailments. These needs must be met by those who are truly able to provide the additional care and financial support.

Abuse

Animals experience pain and the emotional suffering that stems from it. As difficult as it is to think about, many animals are abused by humans. Our rescue efforts include animals who have been abused and might not ever trust humans again.

Special Needs

Living With Harmony regularly rescues animals that have special needs. Some are born with these additional needs, whereas others unfortunately aquire them during their lifetimes.

Caring for those we rescue, along with their changing behavioral, health and medical needs, is life-long work.

Please Donate and Support

Countless animals are abandoned every day across the world. Many of them simply require extra accommodation to live healthy, happy lives.

Animals with special needs have proven time and again that they are just as capable of having a meaningful and joyous life.

Animals with special needs often require expensive medical care. Only those with the means to provide such assistance should adopt animals with such needs.
